To give you a flavour for what I do - my recent work includes:

  • WorkSafe investigation (resolved without formal action being taken against my clients)

  • Advising employer on Immigration New Zealand questions regarding complaint of migrant worker exploitation (no further action taken by INZ)

  • Representing client on sexual harassment claim (both Employment Relations Act 2000 and Human Rights Act 1993) - claim settled in mediation

  • Representing numerous clients on personal grievances (constructive dismissal, unjustified dismissal and unjustified disadvantage) - all but one settled in mediation, one awaiting a Employment Relations Authority investigation meeting date but expected to settle prior

  • Representing clients before Teaching Council Complaints Assessment Committee - decision awaited

  • Representing clients in dispute with share milker, including service tenancy termination

  • Virtual in-house counsel for large NZ company while General Counsel on 3 weeks annual leave

  • Advice and preparing commercial agreements for property investor

  • Advice to new business owner on establishing new structure and advising on allegation of solicitation from previous employer
